We act as a Payroll Provider for Kansas medicaid Waiver Program; Home and Community Based Services for people who chose to self-direct their Personal Care Attendants. These included the Physical Disabled, Traumatic Brain Injury, Frail-Elderly, and Mental retardation/Developmental Disability Waivers.

For persons who do not qualify for Medicaid Waiver services but need assistance in daily living activities, CILSWKS offers the Private Pay option. An individual may enter into an agreement to have CILSWKS provide any of the services offered by the Medicaid Waivers. Services are billed and an invoice is submitted to the Consumer. This is a valuable service to many individuals who want to remain in their own homes and not be forced to live in a nursing home. Private Pay / Self Pay Services may also be used on a temporary basis.

Payroll Services:

• Maintains a list of applicants wanting to assist individuals.
• Provides assistance in recruiting or advertising for Personal Care Attendants.
• Background Check through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
• An Adult Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation record check will be done.
• A Child Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation record check will be done.
• Criminal record checks through the KBI Kansas Criminal History.
• Provides enrollment packet for Personal Care Attendants and Consumers.
• Provides bi-monthly timesheets.
• Reviews completed and signed timesheets for correctness.
• Issues bi-monthly payroll checks.
• Filing state and federal payroll taxes.
• Pay federal and state unemployment insurance and worker's compensation coverage.
• Issues W-2 to the Personal Care Attendant according to federal guidelines.

For Consumers:i

• You as the employers can set the pay rate for your personal care attendant by filling out the form PA-PAR1 (Personal Attendant - Personnel Action Request).
• You may also requrest a raise for your staff at anytime by using the same form PA-PAR1. The raise will be effective for the next pay period. The current pay rate range is $7.00 to $9.00.

Timesheets 1st - 15th is due in our office on the 18th by 1pm. You'll be paid on the 25th.
Timesheets 16th - end of month is due on the 3rd by 1 pm. You'll be paid on the 10th.
If the 10th or 25th is a Saturday, Sunday, or Holiday, you'll be paid the next working day.
