When a Beneficiary Receives a Ticket

Beneficiaries eligible to receive a Ticket under the Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program will receive Ticket packages from the Social Security Administration headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. The package includes basic information about the Ticket Program and an individualized "Ticket to Work." Included in the mailing are our toll-free 1-866-968-7842 or 1-866-833-2967 (TTY) phone numbers. Beneficiaries may call this number for information about the program and to find out which ENs are available to serve them in their community.

The Beneficiary may:

  1. Call the MAXIMUS toll-free number for program information for the names of local ENs.
  2. Research available ENs through the Ticket web site (www.yourtickettowork.com)
  3. Contact their local Social Security Administration field office for information.
  4. Take their Ticket to an EN or state vocational rehabilitation agency, or
  5. Not use, or delay in using, the Ticket.

The Beneficiary decides to use their Ticket and calls MAXIMUS

MAXIMUS provides the beneficiary with information about ENs in their area including contact information and the services the EN provides. The beneficiary may contact the ENs and arrange for meetings to discuss their employment goals and the services they are seeking. The beneficiary may choose to talk with several ENs before making a decision about Ticket assignment.
